EXPLANATORY REMARKS.

176

This source of Revenue yielded $1,641 in 187 and there is no falling off in

the current year.

1,500.00 $3,700 were collected in 1870, but as no dependence can be placed on such a

source of Revenue, a moderate reduction for 1872 is considered prudent.

1

300.00 The stoppages amounted in 1870 to $1,300, and fluctuate so much that a

reduced estimate for 1872 is held advisable.
